Our Strategy

Community Groups – Our Implementation Strategy

Based on the mission and vision stated above, one might ask, what is the implementation strategy, and how do we get from mission to vision? The answer is simple: Create missional Communities based on authentic relationships. The end result should be holistic growth!

Community Groups – our Strategy for Growth!

In order for this strategy to be effective, RCM must become a ministry built on Community Groups. The ministry must become a ministry “of” Community Groups rather than a ministry “with” Community Groups. Without exception, every ministry functioning under the covering of RCM MUST function under the guidelines of our community group structure.

In RCM, Community Groups exist to create places where people belong, believe, and behave. By belong, we mean invoking a strategy that involves creating inviting atmospheres where people from all walks of life get connected to our family. In addition to belonging, our Community Groups have at their core the objective of teaching the things of Christ resulting in people developing a belief in God. Once belief is established, we encourage group members to change their behavior by serving their community in a missional way. This is accomplished by equipping leaders to identify their God-given SHAPE (Spiritual gift, Heart, Attitude, Personality, Experience), then participate in or be allowed to lead a community group of their own.

What is our Process to implementation?

Our strategy to implement Community Groups within RCM is implementation by modeling. By modeling we mean EVERY leader within RCM will be challenged to recruit, select, train, lead, and develop a team of leaders to execute their assigned area of responsibility. The size of their team will depend on the specific assignment, and the newly developed team will become the designated leader’s Community Group. The group’s assignment is to assist the leader in executing their assigned area of ministry, and must abide by the guidelines of RCM’s Community group structure.

Who Is Our Target?

The unsaved and unchurched people of our community.
